'A childhood spent on the boats taught me freedom ... In my adolescence I was able to overcome rebellion by taking the paths of poetry ... In 1994, I discovered Amerindian culture and I also launched a creative wave ... as I made theatre costumes, using all the textiles and materials within my reach to make my first shields.
Self taught, my experience is forged by limitless tests, renewed every day. I do not hesitate to wander through painting, engraving or sculpture.
From the start I have participated in many exhibitions (national and international) where I have won prizes and the chance to be artist in residence on the island of Bendor.
I begin a piece by marking the subject with my traces, marks of time, because that is what we are doing, marking ourselves with traces of our passage, like the wrinkles around our eyes due to laughter or deeper wounds that are not visible.
Totally instinctive, my work seems to me to be a quest for my being: if I erase my education, my culture, all that has been instilled in me ... who am I? Who am I really?
I do not seek to paint, it is an impulse that is imposed and must be satisfied .. a life drive.’

The discovery of contemporary art in Ostend, in January 1997, with the exhibition of the five great Belgian painters: ENSOR, MAGRITTE, DELVAUX, PERMEKE, SPILLIAERT, was a real emotional shock for me - I immediately decided to paint without any prior knowledge. I then began a journey with passion, so far intact, which translates into emotion, energy, and imagination
