Phillip Allison

I am an artist who works in painting, drawing, digital media, sound and text in a range of styles. Style as well as specific combinations of media being important signifiers for me. I have taught, most recently, as a lecturer in FE.

I was also active in the fields of public art, social or community arts, formal and informal education. Over the past twenty years those activities have been given priority over gallery exhibitions although I was self-employed as an artist in 2000-2002 and 2004-2006. I continued to create material as part of various public projects, educational work and I have placed personal digital works on the web in the form of texts, music, video/sound and images.

I have now retired to France and have begun to paint again.
