Exhibition Sunday 10th May to Sunday 17th May, 15h-18h
Closed on Mondays and on Thursday 14th MayThis exhibition by Rakel Persson is called CONFRONTING LIFE.
"My work is based on the links between man and nature; on how we function; on what happens within ourselves when we are forced to meet each other - which can change us.
"The shape often comes from alveolar plastic, soap, plants and wool from animals. Also there emerge creatures with human features. "I would like to tell you something about empathy, friendship and tenderness as well as the anxiety which comes from being uprooted. All of these are strong feelings, which I see all around me at the moment. "My sculptures are full of seriousness and humour. You can cry and laugh at them. I hope to give you the opportunity to play and think. "These works are the symbols and metaphors of how I make sense of life."Click on the links below to find out more.
