Born in Bédarieux in 1957, Thierry Orcajada studied fine arts in Besançon. Over four years, he has acquired a range of techniques which let him express himself freely today. In 1980 he settled in Toulouse where he has worked for thirty years as a graphic designer and later as a 'infographiste'. In a permanent dialogue between pixels and pigments, he mixes his two favorite mediums: namely the final photograph derived from other photos and acrylic paint. With this technique, light vibrates in a whirl of colors.
Thierry Orcajada uses only primary colors which he mixes with white to get the right tone. Always figurative, his canvases are full of emotions which he invites us to share, leading us into his universe made of light, sometimes of tumult and often of calm. An adventure which began three years ago.
He has exhibited in Toulouse and its region. He took part in the competitions of Arts Plastiques of the Occitanie region, organised by 'Occitan Artists' and the 'Painters of Coustala'. He was awarded at their last autumn trade fair by 'POUS Foundation'. He regularly participates in collective exhibitions run by 'Art Caroux'.
Gare-Expo offers him the opportunity to present his work, for the first time, as a single exhibitor.
