Photographer
"Photosensitive": since a young age, I made my first film in silver photography with a Polaroid, and later with Reflex cameras. Later the digital transition has never really taken me away from the very essence of photography.
This return to traditional techniques leads me to present these silver photographs. They were achieved using cameras that I could describe as "vintage" – and with films that I personally developed.
In black and white, because the light thus outlines things, leaving room to the imagination. The guiding thread could be this quote from the painter Claude Monet: "We must capture the light and throw it directly onto the canvas".
I choose silver photography because it gives the image a certain poetry once expressed on paper.
I am not looking here for the perfection of a virtual digital image, but rather the imagination and the emotion that may arise, at times, from a random shot.
It is not the number of shots that matter but rather the time taken to observe before pressing the button…
… One might say …in Praise of Slowness.
